An awesome class last night at Essex Fighting Arts and another video produced on 1 to 12 lockflow. As I suggested I the video, locks are an essential part of what we do, but realistically you have to damage the person first before they are effective. Also it’s hard to see the intricate details on the video so you would be much better off coming to the classes to learn and all our details are below and also on the website.

Trained more of Bob Breen’s 4D Combat aspects and techniques and the hour and a half just bloody flew by. Went through the concepts again with the box and also the attack triangle but I will not go into any detail as this is Bob’s and I respect that. One thing I will say is that I / we are learning lots and this really is a new direction and so very effective. Is taking a while to drill in and to flow more, but certainly getting there. The attack triangle simplifies things so much and has similar lines to the ranges within the Filipino Fighting Arts but the concepts are what is very interesting and leaving the boxing guard for when we have gloves on sparring. I am assuming that I was not the only one who got up this morning with battered arms as we were going heavier and more random attacks (lead jab and cross & cross into hook etc…) so thinking on our feet and utilising the ranges more rather than blocking punches that would end up in empty space if we moved out of range. So chuffed though and will be going to one of Bob’s seminars in the near future for sure!
Have a great week and weekend and will see you all next week. Ouss…
