A great class last night at Essex Fighting Arts.
Was great to get back into the snap back drills, utilizing dakup, paglibut, pa’awas and slips. Then moving more into techniques surrounding and stemming from a jab cross using inside and outside entries with take downs and tree up / tree down locks. Always great fun using some of the Silat locks and locks from Ron Balicki as well as other arm bars and more. Obviously this would not be the best thing to do if they had mates as you’d be lummoxed with them beating the crap out of you while you are tied up with your opponent on the floor. But very effective if you’re alone with them and need to restrain. With this, less is definitely more and getting the right position and angles means less movement when applying the locks and 2 inches can make all the difference as the prostitute said to the vicar! Ha ha
Have a great week and I will see you all next Tuesday. Ouss…
