A good class last night and welcome back to everyone after Covid, a heat wave and a sprained ankle between us all. Ha ha Good to get through hubud in more detail even if we stayed with 1 for 1 hubud. But starting to blend this with locks and indeed lockflow is a great practice and good to work on. With lockflow, there are so many intricacies that are just not visible when you first start learning and the less is more principle is so true when it comes to the transition between locks and the ease that the lock goes on. But moving from movement into the locks of lockflow is the real trick. But one size does not fit all and that is why we have so many different tools in our toolbox. If you are fighting man mountain jack with arms the size of your legs, then a different tactic would need to be utilized. But if a wrist lock presented itself with someone like this I would just snap it on like with Kotegeshi and pull them off balance before snapping it on the other direction. But always have to damage them first and the eyes are something they can’t tense. Basically you wouldn’t allow the fecker to get a grip of you and would hit them and move, not staying in one place for too long as with 4D principles and Bob Breen.
Great class though and look forward to next week. Ouss…
